The Skullcandy Display Project required a new kind of listening station for the company's innovative new headphone product and lifestyle, the Crusher headphone. Positioned differently from other popular headphones like Beats and Bose, Crusher is designed for the youthful pursuits of action sports, gigging and endless weekends.
The proposal asked for a small but immersive listening environment, to fully encapsulate the Crusher user for an all-in brand experience. The designers used rough "beetle-aged" veneer, raw concrete, steel, chainlink and cues from the recording/concert industries to make a special brand statement which is at once distinctive but also part of the existing Skullcandy brand feel.
