The Existing Plan shows the separation of the kitchen from the dining and living areas. Although the service spaces have changed a little over the years, the basic separation remained consistent.

A 1929 Architectural Record photo shows the dining and living space, with built-in seating and planter. The wall with the planter above is to be removed for the kitchen to be integrated into the main space.
